Dear ESMAC Members, Colleagues and Friends,

We are going virtual!!

The ESMAC 2021 Annual Meeting is rapidly approaching.

Based upon feedback from our members plus current and predicted COVID related restrictions the Local Organizing Committee and ESMAC board have decided to host a full virtual 2-days Conference plus Pre-conference Seminars and Advanced Gait Course.

We’ll prepare an excellent scientific program for you and the Conference will consist of high-level keynote speakers, and many oral and poster session as you are used to at annual ESMAC events. The two days of scientific conference will be staggered timewise to provide the best possibilities for delegates from different time zones to attend.

This year ESMAC offers an Advanced Gait Course on 7-8 October (one week before the Conference!) with a focus on case discussions, data interpretation and treatment planning in Zoom breakout rooms, guided by experienced gait analysts.

We have scheduled interesting Pre-Conference Seminars, offering you tutorials on novel techniques in human locomotion, advanced models on gait variability and subject specific biomechanics, plus injury prevention in elite athletes.

We are using the newest and most sophisticated virtual platform stimulating scientific communication and direct access to Q & A forums allowing fruitful discussions among participants. Beside the scientific program, we will provide possibilities for personal interaction with colleagues and friends. We also aim to provide a virtual social program and thus, set a benchmark for virtual communication.

We are sorry you will not be able to visit Odense and enjoy our cozy city this time – but hopefully, we will meet each other next year in Dublin.
The conference fees for Gait Course, Pre-Conference Seminars, and Annual Conference are available. Please note that early bird registration ends 1 September 2021.

We are looking forward to meeting you at virtual ESMAC 2021!
